More than any other sport, professional lacrosse players play a pivotal role in the health of their game by passing on their knowledge through coaching. MLL Press Box will highlight the current players in MLL who are carrying on that coaching legacy at the collegiate and high school levels in the Coaches Corner.
Vermont - Jake Bernhardt, Assistant Coach
The Catamounts snapped a three-game losing streak last weekend with an 11-10 win over Sacred Heart, thanks to a last-second goal by sophomore attackman Jack Knight. Bernhardt (Ohio Machine) and his Vermont team are 4-3 so far on the season, with wins over Furman, Mercer and Holy Cross. They will open up America East play this Saturday when they host No. 8 Albany in Burlington.

Princeton - Jesse Bernhardt, Defensive Coordinator
Playing in frigid temperatures on the campus of Rutgers last night, the No. 15 Tigers lost a 16-11 decision to the No. 5 Scarlet Knights. It marked just the second time in the last 28 seasons that Rutgers beat Princeton for the Meistrell Cup. Bernhardt's (Chesapeake Bayhawks) Princeton team will look to get back on track when they open up their Ivy League schedule at Penn on Saturday.
