Connor Buczek’s two-goal performance, which included a two-point goal against Charlotte, is the LaxDraft LaxStat of the Week.
His two-pointer in the first quarter gave the Launch a 4-1 advantage early in the game and set the tone for Florida to carry a 12-3 lead at the half. The midfielder scored again in the fourth quarter to help seel the 18-12 win and push Florida's record to 7-6. He leads the Launch with three two-point goals in the year and is tied for the third-most two's in the league. His 27 points are good for third on the team behind Kieran McArdle and Chazz Woodson.
The Cornell product showcased his perimeter shooting at the MLL All-Star Game Skills Competition this year, where he won the hardest shot contest with a 112-mph shot. Florida selected Buczek with the No. 2 pick in the 2015 draft.
