LaxDraft LaxStat of the Week:

Ohio midfielder Peter Baum's career-high seven points against the New York Lizards is the LaxDraft LaxStat for Week 14.

With playoff season looming, both Ohio and New York came ready to play, but it was the Machine who maintained their lead and ended the game at 21-14. Baum helped carry the offense throughout the entire game: scoring five goals, one two-point goal, and one assist. The midfielder continued to extend the lead for the Machine, scoring his two-point goal at the end of the second quarter making the score 10-4. Coming off a two-week winning streak, Baum is also leading the league for the first time in his career with 49 points.

The Colgate College alum finished his collegiate career as their all-time leader in points, 225 and goals, 164. He recieved the Tewaaraton  Award in 2014 and went on to be drafted as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 MLL Collegiate Draft by the Ohio Machine. Being named Machine’s 2014 Breakout Player of the Year and making All-Star appearances in 2015 and 2016, Baum has continued to be a top scoring player the Machine and the league.
