Beginning the 2017 MLL season with two major retirement announcements has shaken up the lacrosse world. John Grant Jr. and Brendan Mundorf shared their decision with the MLL community within a week of one another and have been flooded with support ever since. Fellow athletes, former coaches, and loving fans have shown their unwavering loyalty via social media.
USA Teammate, Paul Rabil, shot some love over to Mundorf with some priceless celebratory photos and a short message.
As Murdoff closes out his career with The Chesapeake Bayhawks, it only seems fitting that the team thank him for all that he has contributed with a slideshow featuring hightlight photos and impressive stats.
Denver Outlaws Attackman, Eric Law, got a littel sentimental reminscing on the beginnning of his career with Mundorf. Would Law have made it through his rookie year without him? Probably, but this tweet made us feel the strong bond between the two players as Law shows his appreciation.
Tucker Durkin shares what all other lax players are thinking about Grant:
Congrats @JohnGrantJr24 on an unrivaled career. Won't miss playing you, but will miss watching you. Thanks for all you've done for lacrosse— Tucker Durkin (@tdurkin51) April 21, 2017
Lyle Thompson thanks Grant for having such a big impact on the game of lacrosse. Wishing Grant's career could go on forever.
It's all about that bling - Dom Sebastiani shares casual photo and makes reference to two championships won with Grant during his time on the Denver Outlaws.
Although heartbroken the league is losing two valuable players, there is nothing but support and appreciation being sent toward Grant and Mundorf for their futures.
