Social media is always evolving and technology is constantly creating new ways to be more innovative. The concept of slow-motion videos and quick-twich hyperlapse videos (better known as a Boomerang) have entered the social scene in very popular demand. Athletes use these video functions to showcase their skills in a fun and creative way in this week's Social Media Roundup on MLL Press Box.

New Call-to-action

Ohio Machine midfielder Kyle Harrison showcases his skills on the field every weekend, but he is also a father to an adorable little girl. This weekend on Twitter Harrison shared a Boomerang of him sliding down an inflatable water-slide with his daughter. Other than being an incredibly funny and cute video, it gave us a sneak peak into Harrison as a father and not just a professional athlete.

Showing off some stick work with a killer sunset in the background, Boston Cannons attackman Davey Emala shared his own Boomerang over the weekend. Looks like the Emala enjoyed the sunset and got to give some shout outs to his favorite lacrosse publications - including MLL.

Paul Rabil, New York Lizards midfielder shared a video in slow motion that featured a pretty impressive combination. A double loop that ended in a shot that went through the net and then through the field goal. The slow motion effect highlights each motion and gives the viewers a great inside look at the pro's skill.

Double loop, through the net, field goal 🐴 You're up.

Powell Lacrosse shared a Boomerang clip to their Instagram page that shows some players shooting backhand balls into a bucket. Spending this past weekend at the Saratoga Lacrosse Shootout, Powell Lacrosse got to use this fun video to draw some more people into the events and games they put together at their tent.
